Shazia Hosenbocus was born and raised in Kamloops and is a first generation Mauritian-Canadian. She is currently attending law school at the University of Calgary and will be graduating with her Juris Doctor in 2020. Shazia has spent her summers working with Kerri Priddle since 2013 and will be returning to Priddle Law Group to complete her Articles following law school.
Giving back to the community has always been a passion of Shazia’s. While attending Thompson Rivers University for her Bachelor of Business Administration, Shazia volunteered with and fundraised for multiple community outreach projects through Enactus Thompson Rivers, United Way, GenNext and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. During law school, Shazia volunteered with the University of Calgary’s free legal clinic.
Shazia is a member of the Alberta Powerlifting Union and spends a majority of her free time training for and volunteering at powerlifting competitions. She also enjoys being outdoors, camping, hiking, biking and kayaking.
